My Story

Music came into my life at the age of 9. My Father taught me how to play a harmonica. I have fond memories of evenings at home playing old country songs with him. A good friend across the street from me got a guitar for his birthday. Once I was able to get my hands on it, I began to learn where to put my fingers. In a short while, I was able to play a few simple songs. From that point on, I was hooked. The following Christmas, I asked for a guitar of my own. Santa Claus came through for me. For the next 6 months I would spend any extra time I have playing my guitar. When I reached junior high, I got together with a few friends and started my first band. We played rock and roll music in our garages until we were good enough to land our first real gig. I played in several bands all through high school. I was the lead singer for some and guitar player for others. After leaving high school, I joined the Air Force, got married and started a family. I still played my guitar and sang but mostly in church. I began to develope a love for country music. Because of my love for stinged instruments, I learned to play the banjo, mandolin and base guitar. After a few years, I started paying music for private parties and fund raisers. My style of music leans toward the country side but I do play other types of music. My favorite type of music is the music that takes you back in time.
